At For You From Me, gifts stay between you and the people you choose. The app is built without developer accounts, analytics, or a custom backend.

No Data Collection

We do not collect, store, process, or transmit personal information, usage data, or analytics to a developer-controlled server. For You From Me does not operate its own backend for your coupons.

On-Device Storage

Your display name, appearance preferences, and coupon library are stored on your device (including via SwiftData and local preferences). You can use the app offline to browse and redeem coupons you already have.

iCloud & Gift Sharing

Sending and receiving gifts uses Apple’s CloudKit with your Apple ID. When you wrap a gift, details you include - such as your name as shown in the app, a gift message, and coupon contents - are stored in the app’s CloudKit container so the recipient can open the gift link. Redemption events may also sync through CloudKit so the sender can see that a coupon was used. That data is handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy practices. The developer does not operate a separate server that stores your gifts.

Notifications

Push notifications related to gift redemptions may be delivered through Apple’s push notification services in connection with CloudKit subscriptions. Notification delivery is provided by Apple.

Share Links

Gift links identify a gift so the recipient’s copy of the app can fetch it. Anyone with the link who has the app and iCloud access may be able to open that gift - share links only with people you trust.

Offline Use

Viewing saved coupons and redeeming ones already on your device works offline. An internet connection and an iCloud account are needed to send gifts, open new gift links, sync redemptions, and download the app.
